NAE Friendships Across the Globe

In October, Year 5 students participated in the Postcard Exchange Programme to connect themselves to one of Nord Anglia Education’s sister schools - the British School of Beijing.

Linking in with the learning topic of greetings, the students designed postcards with greetings and a small introduction about themselves. It was great to see our Year 5 students use their Chinese skills to communicate with new friends.

Last Thursday we received postcards back from our new friends in Beijing. We read the Chinese words on our new friends' postcards, learning our new friends' names and getting to know about their favourite hobbies. It was so exciting!

Although our friends are living in Beijing now we have learned that they also come from all around the world and they are learning the Chinese language just like us. This was another fabulous way that we celebrated our diversity for UN Day last week.

Well done Year 5!
