The DCIS Secondary Student Council is using a different model this year which involves all students in Class Meetings once a fortnight. It is the responsibility of the Communication Team to report the outcomes of these Class Meetings to the wider community.

Before half term, Siddharth from Year 10D and Sameeksha from Year 10C, met with Business Manager Mrs Kim O’Flynn- Kelly and her assistant Ms Amber Harrison to report on findings regarding the School Cafeteria and uniform. Sameeksha and Siddharth prepared a presentation of the different options that have been voted for during the class meetings and Mrs Kim O’Flynn-Kelly listened carefully to their views and also explained some of the practical restrictions in place.

The Business Management team have agreed to explore the feasibility of a sub/wrap station and have asked the students to gather ideas for a breakfast menu, types of salad and fruit that students would like. The students have already started to survey their peers and will meet again with the Business Management team next week.
