Year 2 Trip: Gardens By The Bay

18 September 2017

Year 2 students looked at ways in which different plants and trees adapt to suit their environment

  • Year 2 Visit Gardens By The Bay

Year 2 went on a wonderful trip to Gardens By The Bay last week as part of their current IPC project, Our World. They explored the variety of plants and trees that grow in different areas of the world.

They spent the day looking at the ways in which the different plants and trees are adapted to suit their environment. The students were enthralled to see the way that carnivorous plants caught their prey, the size of their leaves and trunks, how tall they grew and how they protected themselves against the elements.

The children really enjoyed their day out and came back to school full of ideas and questions which they wanted to investigate further.
