They decided to plan and perform a fun and engaging assembly including a teacher and her class, police officers, firefighters and paramedics! There was some fantastic singing and dancing to “Holding out for a hero” and the children also learned the Makaton signs for “Count on me”. They spoke about real-life heroes who help us in emergencies but also the everyday heroes who help us in school such as our school nurses, security guards, receptionists and bus aunties.
