Both our Year 3s and Year 6s have school trips next week, so please check your year blogs on Firefly for details.

Details of our residential trips for years 3 to 8 went out this week. Please let me know if you’ve not received the letter and itinerary. We have some amazing trips planned this year both in Hong Kong, Mainland China, Singapore and Vietnam. HK$2,000 trip deposits are due before the end of term.

It was a thought-provoking and sober Assembly by our Year 6Cs on an important subject: racial discrimination. Well done Year 6C. Thank you also to Isaac Low (Year 5) who played the piano beautifully while we all came in. Click here for photos.

There is no stopping the PTA! After the amazing Halloween Spooktacular, and fabulous support and refreshments at Sports Day, the PTA already has a full calendar of events for the rest of the year. Please check the PTA section of Firefly, here.

NETBALL – Click here for photos
Our NAIS Netball Knights have done so well! They won all three of their games (3-0 / 2-1 / 7-3) in their first Netta’s competition last week. The team also did an excellent job representing the school and wore their uniforms with such pride! A brilliant result for our Knights. A huge thanks goes to Coach Amber and Kristen and all the parents for their amazing support. We can’t wait for the Spring season now.

Don’t forget that if your child has any last minute touches to add to their Christmas Card entry for the Art Inter-House Competition, get cracking this weekend. All entries must be returned to the Art Department by Monday 30th November at 3.30pm. Our Heads of House will then select two winners from each House in two categories: Y1-Y4 & Y5-Y8.

PRIVATE MUSIC LESSONS – Update from Miss Rowan

“Following a successful first term of peripatetic instrumental lessons, it is now time to submit payment for next term. All students have received letters, so please check bags if you have not already seen this.  Please note that all cheques should be made payable to ‘Pure Orchestral Centre’ at $3,000 for 30 minute lessons and $6,000 for one hour lessons and are due in by Thursday 3rd December.  We do have a few spaces for piano in the new year – if you are interested, please contact me directly on naomi.rowan@nais.hk for a copy of the contract.  Lessons will resume on Monday 4th January and timetables will be sent out during the last week of term. Thank you in advance for your timely support and cooperation.  Miss Rowan”

Please don’t forget to check your year group Blogs on Firefly to keep up to date on activities as we head into the last two weeks of term!
