Two Village High School students have received awards from the Youth Journalism International contest for excellence in writing and composure.
Puneetha G. was named honorable mention in the Opinion writing category for her article titled, “Why Women have a Difficult Time Climbing the Corporate Ladder.”Judges noted that her piece was well constructed and witty in its’ discussion of this controversial topic.
Pavithr G. won first place in the sports opinion category for his article discussing concussions in high school football. Judges noted that he not only made the topic personal but created a compelling case with his work.
