Global Campus Photographer of the Year Competition Closing Date Extended!

This year’s competition to find the best budding photographers from across our 46 schools worldwide has had its closing date extended to October 23rd.

  • Global Campus_Online_link image

The theme is “Where I Live” which continues our focus on the United Nations Global Goals for Sustainable Development and our collaboration with UNICEF. Students should take photos that show they are thinking about how to make Hong Kong a better place in connection with subjects such as wildlife, housing, pollution, food, poverty or any other aspect that links to the Global Goals. The best pictures will be included in a calendar to be shared across our Global Campus and with UNICEF.

To enroll in the competition and get a virtual badge for student’s GC profile and stamp for their passport (primary only), log onto Global Campus Online, click on the Competitions section then click on the yellow button to take a short questionnaire and find out more ideas and information. There is also a page on the Global Campus section of Firefly in both primary and secondary which explains the rules and gives inspiration and technical advice.

To enter the competition, students should submit one photo only to the Padlet page below including their full name, age, class, section of the school (Primary/Secondary/Sai Kung/Tai Tam) and up to 50 words describing the picture and how it links to the goals. There are already examples on the page to help you.

The closing date for entries has been extended to Monday October 23rd. The competition is not compulsory but is a great opportunity to extend student learning and become part of our worldwide community. If you have any questions, please e-mail david.robinson@nais.hk
