In a world where programming skills are becoming more and more essential, it is important to engage children across Primary and Secondary with apps and coding challenges that will introduce and improve programming skills. 

 

This year Global Campus has partnered with the coding platform Alice3.

Alice3 is an innovative block-based programming environment that enables you to create 3-D virtual worlds, including animations and games. It's a great platform for developing logical and computational thinking skills through creative exploration.

In Year 5, the children were introduced to the app and then started to explore and create their first projects.

Here is a tutorial on how to make your first Alice3 project from one of our Year 5 Student, Abhiroo.

And here you can see Abhiroo's how to make people walk tutorial and his final submission. 

Mr. McGuinness and the Year 9 students took the app to the next level, and used Alice3 to tell a story about Climate Action - the UNICEF Sustainable Development Goal that Nord Anglia is focusing on this year.
