Our school communities
When you and your child join a Nord Anglia Education school, you will be welcomed into a warm and vibrant community. Our students, parents, staff, and friends of the schools form a diverse and supportive network ready to help you with any aspect of school life.
We encourage all our schools to be active members of their local communities, which they do through school-level community service programmes. Our students, staff and parents donate valuable time, expertise and resources to support local projects. This benefits both the community and our students, who gain new skills, valuable insights into the world around them and create deep connections to the people and places where their schools are located.
The Sustainable Development Goals
Through our collaboration with UNICEF, all Nord Anglia Education students are also challenged to participate in projects on the Sustainable Development Goals in their schools. The Sustainable Development Goals are a collection of 17 goals set by the United Nations regarding social and economic development issues that we hope to collectively achieve by 2030. Every year, UNICEF challenges students at Nord Anglia Education schools to raise awareness of these goals through creative projects and activities. Whether it’s a recycling project for sustainability, turning plants into bio-fuels, fighting against poverty in their community, or other meaningful activities based on the 17 goals, our students are continuously challenged to lead change.
The Share A Dream platform
To encourage Nord Anglia students, teachers and school communities to do social good through outreach activities, an online platform called Share A Dream was launched in 2018 and is continually being rolled out to Nord Anglia schools around the world. As an intuitive solution for social responsibility engagement, Share A Dream helps facilitate the good work happening in every Nord Anglia school community, and gives students and teachers the power to effect positive, lasting change around the world.
With Share A Dream, schools can plan, execute and report on outreach activities and events, including volunteering and work with NGOs. Regardless what kind of social campaign is being run, schools can easily track details from start to completion, along with details on fundraising amounts, number of goods donated or total hours volunteered. Students and teachers can get involved in social activities based on the things they truly care about. At Nord Anglia Education, we care deeply about making a difference in people’s lives, and Share A Dream channels this goodwill into a practical tool for change.
